Rooted in Beirut’s rich creative fabric, this apartment project is a testament to the power of collaboration between local designers, artists, and artisans. Every element within the space emerges from commissioned works that celebrate contemporary Lebanese craftsmanship while reflecting the city’s evolving cultural landscape.

The design narrative unfolds through bespoke furniture, hand-finished textures, and art pieces that seamlessly integrate into the architecture, transforming the apartment into a living gallery of Beirut’s creative pulse. By fostering a dialogue between the works of active artists and designers, the space captures a Levantine aesthetic that is both deeply local and distinctly contemporary.
Rather than relying on embedded elements, the design prioritizes floating pieces, allowing for flexibility and an organic sense of curation. This strategy reinforces a lived-in atmosphere, where the interplay of light and shadow, subtle color palettes, and curated details shape an environment that feels both grounded and expressive.
More than just a residence, this apartment serves as a collective artistic statement—an ever-evolving expression of place, culture, and identity.

For this commission at the Hindi residence, the process felt collaborative and intentional, with a shared respect for materiality and process. Every detail, from the careful selection of artworks to the seamless handling of the finer points, reflects Etienne’s innate understanding of harmony and balance. Seeing my work thoughtfully placed within such a carefully curated environment is deeply rewarding. Etienne has a remarkable ability to create spaces where art and design objects engage in meaningful dialogue, each piece enhancing the other.
